National Cervical Cancer Screening Month
Many cancer-related awareness campaigns occur throughout the year. Not all are coordinated by the American Cancer Society; however, we do support efforts to create a greater awareness of cancer.
January is National Cervical Cancer Screen Month. Cervical cancer can often be found early, and sometimes even prevented entirely, by having regular Pap tests. If detected early, cervical cancer is one of the most successfully treatable cancers.
